Lately you have been noticing that you have strange abilities. Maybe you have started to turn invisible. Or maybe you have been able to move things without even trying to. Or you could have even started being able to control people. When you told your parents what was happening, they just smiled a knowing smile as if they knew what was going on. You cannot figure out what is happening to you, but you know whatever it is, it’s very strange and it has happened to your family before you.
One day you got home and found a thick envelope sitting on your kitchen table. Curious you opened it, and it read:
Dear (insert name here),
Congratulations, you have been invited to join the New York Charity Committee! Only a few select members are accepted every year and you are one of the lucky ones this year. By now you have probably heard of the New York Charity Committee or the Committee and know how prestigious it is. We only accept the best of the best, and if you have gotten this letter then you are one of the best and the best. We have judged all of the candidates off of the same criteria; community service, extracurricular actives, school grades and if your parents were in the Committee. There will be a meeting about everything that comes with being in the Committee on (insert date here). If you are going to be in the Committee, which we highly suggest you do, it is vital you come to the meeting. The meeting will discuss everything that this letter cannot. With that said, if you do not come to the meeting, you cannot be in the Committee.
We cannot wait to meet you and the rest of the future of the Committee.

When you told your parents about the letter, they made sure you went to the meeting. When you went to the meeting you found out that you were a witch or warlock and you had the influence over magic. You also found out that you have lived many lives before. Your first life was in Egypt in 108 AD when the devil put a curse on you that made you walk the earth forever, but in human life spans. Also, he split your soul into two physically different people. The second person is your opposite in every way, including gender and you are the literal meaning of ‘soul mates’. Your goal this lifetime is to protect yourself from dark magic (or maybe do some yourself) and to find your other half.
