1. OOC (Out Of Character) posts should be restricted to the OOC area or PMs. If you must, add a short message to your current RP partner at the bottom of your post, between brackets and marked (ooc:), but no chatter in the thread; it disrupts the flow. Chatter only posts will be deleted.
2. Type your posts in full English: No chatspeak allowed when roleplaying! There is also a handy spellcheck option to help polish off your final post.
3. No powerplaying/godmodding: This is pretty much the cardinal rule of roleplaying. Try to respect each other and each other's characters. If you're not familiar with the terms, see the next post for examples.
4. No hurting another character without having permission from the player, even if it means planning the scene in PMs.
5. When in doubt of putting another person into a certain situation, PM them first!
6. An RP post should be 8 lines minimum. This limit does not include quoted lines from a post you are replying to. While this RP is for fun, it is for roleplayers who take it somewhat seriously. The occasional exception is, of course, allowed, as long as it doesn't turn into continually posting less than 8 lines.
7. If for some reason you choose to drop out, please finish up, by either RPing an end for your character, or at least telling us that you will be dropping out. Don't leave people hanging.
8. When you are RPing with someone, give them at least 7 days to reply. However, should more than 7 days pass without the other person responding or getting in touch with you, you are free to move on.
9. Unless a player has marked their character "Approachable" or if two players are already involved together in a plot, it is considered good manners to send them a PM (or post in the OOC (Out Of Character) area) asking whether it would be ok to approach them, just in case they already had different plans.
10. When making an RP post, please include the location of your character either in the header or at the beginning of the post, and preferably what other character(s) are with them. This makes it easier for people to keep up with who is where, and with whom.
11. Foul language is allowed, but try not to abuse it. There are more ways of getting your point across.
12. There is no character limit, but, in order to have three or more characters, you need to have proven yourself capable of juggling characters and keeping them active. That means, actively RP your two existing characters for one RP day, which lasts about 2 months. One character shouldn't have to fade into oblivion (without being officially withdrawn from the RP) in favor of another.
13. No characters under the age of fifteen.
14. Portrayals: Although it's preferable to use a real person, you may use something else (drawing, virtual character, etc) as well.
Also, in case of planning to bring about an additional character sometime in the near future, and already having a certain portrayal in mind for them, each player might reserve one portrayal for future use. However, the reservation will last only two months. If still not put in active use after that, the portrayal will be unreserved.
15. Adult Situations: Keep things PG 13 please.
16. If you are unsure of something, ask. Either in the OOC area, or in PM.
